New Toyota Hilux

As one of the most hardworking but stylish pickup trucks available to UK motorists today, the new Toyota Hilux doesn’t know how to give up. This is a model that will overcome any challenging terrain it faces, any conditions that seem unfavorable, and any working day that seems tough. And it will do so with a style like no other. Available in a number of trim levels - Active, Icon, Invincible, and Invincible X - and with Single Cab, Extra Cab, and Double Cab body styles, there’s almost definitely a new Toyota Hilux to suit your needs.

Design

Unlike many commercial vehicles, the Toyota Hilux is something of a dual threat in that it can providing the hardworking, durable performance needed for working life and a level of style and comfort more suited to passenger vehicles. In its current guise the exterior is all sharp angles and muscular dimensions, with smart LED lights and a choice of wheels adding to the eye-catching appearance.

The toughness of the exterior gives way to a cabin that features exceptional levels of comfort, with the model incorporating innovative electronic control that reduces body pitch and bounce for a smooth ride. With height adjustable seats, quality upholstery throughout, a number of intelligent storage options, and dual-zone automatic air conditioning available, both you and any of your passengers will be able to enjoy a comfortable drive every time.

Performance

A strong and responsive 2.4-litre diesel engine producing up to 150bhp powers the new Hilux, working with a six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission. Offering all-wheel drive technology and capable of 400Nm of torque, there is more than enough power to be found in the model, meaning difficult terrains and work surfaces are overcome in an instant. Not only that, the vehicle is also capable of achieving up to 44.8mpg with CO2 emissions of just 186g/km.

Technology

Innovative technology features throughout the new Toyota Hilux to ensure that every journey is as enjoyable as can be. The Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system, for example, provides a tablet-like screen that offers all the infotainment measures you could ask for, also connecting to your smartphone for the safe operation of calls. Smart Entry and Push Button Start, meanwhile, enable you to unlock the doors when the key fob is in close proximity, and start the engine with the minimum of effort.

Safety

The manufacturer’s acclaimed Toyota Safety Sense technology provides active driver support to keep both you and other road users protected. For example, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection uses cameras and sensors to monitor the road ahead of you, alerting you via audible and visual prompts to the risk of any collision, and even applying braking should you fail to react in time. Along with Lane Departure Assist and Road Sign Assist, you can expect a number of protective measures to keep you safe.
