Thanks to our customers, we've received the 2017/18 Toyota President's Award, and this is our 3rd time. This year the Presidents Club Awards Ceremony was in Dubrovnik and presented by Seb Coe and Paul Van der Burgh, CEO of Toyota GB. It's the one of the highest honours for a Toyota dealership and is also a symbol of our continuing dedication to satisfying our customers. From every department and every person at our dealership, we thank you!
Over the years we’ve been proud to receive several top accolades from Toyota GB. We’ve come the UK’s #1 BRIT Dealership receiving 1st place in 2015 & 2016 and runner up in 2017, yet this is the one we’re most proud of.
Our MetroCentre Gateshead Toyota dealership has been recognised by the Toyota brand with its prestigious President’s Award. It makes our entire team of sales & marketing, finance, and service employees bristle with pride to know that our customers would honour us with their vote of confidence. Not only have we won the award once, but we’ve garnered the award in 2013, 2016 and now for 2017. It’s a reflection of our total commitment to our loyal customers and the service we provide.
We’ve a little trophy cabinet on our mezzanine floor overlooking the showroom at Toyota MetroCentre Gateshead. It contains our two ‘Best Retailer in Town’ (BRIT) awards, our ‘Ichiban Centre of Excellence’ trophy, the Retailer Leadership Programme Award’ and now three President’s Award Tiffany crystal plaques. But what does it signify?
Being presented with the Toyota President’s Award is the highest honour that can be achieved by a Toyota dealership. To qualify as a President’s Award winner, especially year-after-year, we must excel in several different categories that include customer sales satisfaction, customer service satisfaction, New Vehicle market share attainment, vehicle delivery excellence, and employee training and certification. The accentuation is on “customer” and demonstrating a commitment to maintaining the Toyota brand’s high standards of customer satisfaction.
Our management team at MetroCentre Gateshead instruct employees to emphasize the entire Toyota ownership experience. Not only will you be happy when you buy your new Toyota vehicle from us, but for as long as you own the vehicle. Whether it is a new, nearly new or used Toyota vehicle our ethos is that it is always a new Hodgson vehicle for that customer.
That’s why we regularly receive hand written comments from customers such as Mr Stanhope, who congratulated us on our “continued outstanding focus on customer service.” This was returned on his Customer Satisfaction Survey for his fifth vehicle purchased from our Toyota dealership.
Another customer, Mrs Thompson wrote online ‘Excellent service from Jon Grant. He arranged for the car to be brought straight over from another dealership and was very informative from the outset. It was my daughter's first car and he also helped me decorate it for her. Many thanks from us both.’
Customer comments like these solidify the belief and philosophy behind our commitment to exceptional customer service to meet the needs and expectations of our customers.
