Company History
The Hodgson Company started life way back in 1959 when founder Les Hodgson took over a bankrupt filling station in Seghill ,Northumberland - working long and hard hours he built the business back up and with a strong and loyal customer base he attracted the SAAB franchise in the early 1960's which he ran until 1975 when Mitsubishi Colt was taken on and went on to be the best selling dealer nationwide for several years, in 1987 after a short spell with both Hyundai and Isuzu the switch was made to Mazda Cars. In 1992 the business was relocated to the Silverlink and into purpose built premises, 1998 saw the introduction of Suzuki and two years later in 2000 Toyota was launched in a further custom built facility next to our other two existing dealerships. Taking the opportunity to build on the Toyota brand Hodgson's aquired the vacant Minories Honda site near the MetroCentre and ear marked it for a massive £4M re-developement project which openned for buisness in late 2005. Hodgson's go on to be top selling dealers for all the brands that we support nationwide and wish to thank all of our customers past, present and future for your support.
